Tigerfight Foundation originated from Team Tigerfight and our Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Light the Night walk teams. Each year, in communities all across the United States and Canada teams of families, friends, co-workers and local and national corporations come together to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk events and bring help and hope to people battling blood cancers . Our first walk team, back in 2009, was made up of friends and family members who were grateful for Ryan’s progress and wanted to share in this milestone with us. We raised a total of $9,932 during that first Light the Night walk and we have continued to participate and fund raise ever since. To date Tigerfight has raised a total of $124,250 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Our continuing goals were to form a foundation with committee members from different facets in the community. In 2012 we started the process of forming a non-profit organization. Our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization status was granted in May 2014. Our 501(c)(3) EIN Number is 46-1885934.
The primary goal of the Tigerfight Foundation is to establish ourselves within the community as a philanthropic organization. Our long term goal is to hold three to four fundraisers throughout the year with half of our annual proceeds going to our Light the Night effort and the other half given to Kern County families who are currently going through any type of pediatric blood cancer treatment.
